This coffee is grown in the Cauca Mountains, on the slopes of the Cordillera Central, sheltered by the protective presence of the Nevado del Huila mountain range. It is a coffee descended from Arabica, free-growing coffee trees from small plots, grown amidst pure air and clean water sources. The planting, harvesting, and drying process are all done by hand, offering ancestral wisdom at the service of coffee. Café Quilichao purchases directly from farmers, ensuring traceability and a price that benefits both growers and consumers.

CAFÉ QUILICHAO

Son of miscegenation

“But interbreeding has many other virtues, some invaluable. When one shares diverse origins, ethnic complexities, and distinct cultural traditions, it is easier to discover that essence common to all races and all cultures. At the depths of our mixed and multiple selves, it is certainly easier for us to find the human being, a human being a little less exquisite but a little more natural, a little less rational but a little more sensitive, a little less confident but a little more curious about the world. And the supreme advantage of belonging to so many traditions is the impossibility of fostering the pride of pure races, their arrogance and their intolerance.”
